Devlog 7: Production sprint 2, week 2


Welcome back to our page!

Production continued as we went into the 2nd week of the sprint. This week, we're going to show some screenshots of the level, some new music, and some of the menus we've been working on.

Lets start with the music! Our sound producer Jake has been working on the gameplay music and ambient sounds, and provided us with a demo:

Gameplay- and coding wise, our game is moving along nicely. We redesigned the start of our level to make it more easy. This way our players get eased into the game. We also made it so that the switch between from Nana to Bo (the big guy) happens automatically when touching a platform.  This makes the game more intuitive and fluid. More animations keep being added to the game as well. 

We've also been working on implementing menu's and an in-game HUD. The in-game HUD is limited, with only 2 icons and a score per player:


The icons show the cooldown for the dash- and slap ability. The color of the icons changes based on the player's color. Players can choose their color in the main menu, which we've also been working on: 


Last week we mentioned working on the background of the level. We'll leave you with some screenshots:
